Upcoming Events for 2026

The Trustees of Haemophilia NI are delighted to share an update on two major events currently being planned for our bleeding disorder community — a Newly Diagnosed Families Event and our annual Community Day.

Newly Diagnosed Families Event. We are very pleased to announce a dedicated weekend event for families who have received a bleeding disorder diagnosis within the past three years. This supportive and informative gathering will take place from 9–10 May 2026 at the Armagh City Hotel. To ensure the event offers the best possible guidance, we are working closely with the Haemophilia Centres in Belfast to create a programme of educational presentations tailored to the needs of newly diagnosed families. These sessions will aim to provide clarity, practical advice and reassurance during what can often be an overwhelming period. In addition to clinical and educational content, we plan to host informal discussions with families who have older children living with bleeding disorders. Their insights and lived experiences can offer invaluable comfort, perspective and encouragement to those at the beginning of their journey. Despite major therapeutic advances in recent years, we know that receiving a diagnosis remains a challenging and emotional time — and our goal is to ensure families feel supported, connected and informed.

Community Day – Coming June 2026. We are also hard at work preparing our next Community Day, planned for the first half of June 2026. This event will be open to everyone in Northern Ireland affected by bleeding disorders — individuals, families and carers alike. Our Community Day is always a highlight of the year, bringing people together to share experiences, build connections and take part in activities designed to strengthen our community. We look forward to announcing more details very soon, including the programme for the day and how to get involved.

Stay Connected - we are excited about what 2026 will bring and look forward to welcoming many of you to these upcoming events. Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels, where we will share further updates as plans are finalised.
