Raising Awareness on World Haemophilia Day at Belfast City Hospital

On 17 April 2026, members of Haemophilia NI were proud to be at Belfast City Hospital to mark World Haemophilia Day, helping to raise awareness of bleeding disorders and the importance of timely diagnosis.

This year’s World Haemophilia Day theme focused on the importance of diagnosis, highlighting how early and accurate identification of bleeding disorders can change lives and improve long‑term outcomes for individuals and families.

We were delighted to be invited by Haemophilia Sister Helen Manson and the team at the Belfast Adult’s Comprehensive Care Centre, and truly appreciated the opportunity to meet, chat with, and learn more about the vital work carried out by the centre staff each day. It was fantastic to connect with such a dedicated and knowledgeable team who provide essential care and support to the haemophilia community.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable and meaningful day for everyone involved. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Sister Helen Manson and all the staff at the Comprehensive Care Centre for their warm welcome and for the exceptional work they continue to do.

Thank you for all that you do.
